Kerry Brogden

Competition Director
Brief info

Kerry has been a member of Joondalup Athletics Centre since 2021, when her two young boys started their athletics journey at the centre. Her sons' enjoyed their school sports carnival events so much that they wanted to start competitive athletics.

Kerry's work history has seen her working with a variety of different people, in a variety of roles. She has worked with children as a Bunnings DIY workshop coordinator and host, and as a youth care officer for the City of Wanneroo. Kerry also has experience in planning and organisation from her time as a contracts coordinator on the major projects team at BHP.

During the 2021-2022 season, Kerry enjoyed learning all of the processes involved in the running of our centre, including set up, pack away, and age-group coordinator. Kerry showed a particularly strong understanding of the functioning of the timing gates and recording systems. This led to Kerry's interest in the competition director role. Kerry hopes to further develop her knowledge of the operational requirements of the centre and provide all of our members with efficient and professionally run competitions.
