Brief info

Callum has been part of little athletics since joining Ridgewood Athletics Centre at the age of 8. He finished his little athletics journey in 2020 as an U17 athlete. Callum enjoys all events offered at little athletics, his favourite events being the 100m, long jump, and triple jump.

During his time as a little athletics athlete, Callum was part of a successful 4x100m relay team, achieving gold medals in U14, U15, and U17, and silver in U16. This relay team currently hold the U15 and U17 state 4x100m relay record. Callum took home a silver medal in long jump at the little athletics state chamionships in his final season of little athletics.

Callum also competes in the senior athletics STRIVE competition and has been successful in achieving a bronze medal at the WA All Schools in long jump and 100m as an U16 athlete. Also finishing 5th in the WA State Championships for long jump in 2020.

Callum is passionate about his coaching and loves to impart the knowledge he has learned from his coach to others. He worked with some of our younger Joondalup athletes towards the end of last season, coaching them to succeed at Little Athletics State Championships long jump, with 3 making the finals and one achieving a gold medal.

Callum currently holds a Cert 3 in sport and recreation and will be obtaining his level 1 coaching qualification in September. Callum is looking forward to working with the Joondalup Athletics Centre in an official capacity this season, to improve results for athletes in long jump and triple jump.
